People often ask me about cost and I say 'it depends on what you have'. This has to be the answer because I am not always hiring out an outfit, but a collection of clothes to make up a costume for each individual customer. I know this is not very helpful, so here are some guidelines.

Prices start at £20.00 for a basic costume, including hat and shoes if available, and wig if necessary. The average price is about £25.00-£35.00.

If you just want a pair of boots, or a single item of clothing this will obviously be less.

A few clothes in my collection are valuable and/or rare, and this has to be reflected in the price. Also more mundane factors need to be taken into consideration, for example the cost of dry cleaning as opposed to washing, and the length of time you wish to keep the costume.

I always charge a deposit. This will usually be modest, unless rare and valuable items are hired, which may mean a replacement value will be charged. The deposit is not banked, and is returned when the costume is returned undamaged and on the date agreed.

I do not take cards so please bring your cheque book.
